
The second season of Netflix’s medieval Korean zombie series Kingdom is one of the streaming service’s most anticipated original shows coming up next month, and the company recently released the first trailer. Watch it above.
Set in ancient Korea, Kingdom season 1 revolved around a deceased king who rises from the dead as a mysterious plague begins to spread across the land. This plague has turned people into zombies, and the prince (Ju Ji-Hoon) must face off against the new breed of zombies as he sets out on a journey to reveal the evil behind and save his people.
Official synopsis of Kingdom Season 2:
As winter approaches, the battle between the living and the living dead in Joseon has only just begun. The royal court is teeming with snakes, zombies arrive, and the crown prince has a nation to save. The worst is yet to come, and everyone will have to choose sides without knowing who they can really trust.
Kingdom was directed by Kim Seong-hun (A hard day) from a script by Signal writer Kim Eun-hee. It is scheduled to air on Netflix on March 13, 2020.
